Profile

Principal-level AI/software engineer. Two recent years applying the forward-deployed discipline to an independent, production-scale agentic platform build, backed by more than a decade of earlier customer-embedded technical delivery: entering ambiguous enterprise environments, working directly with executives and engineers, defining the problem, designing the solution, and staying hands-on through production.

Current agentic-AI work spans deterministic workflows, RAG, structured outputs, evaluation, human-review gates, Python/TypeScript, and AWS. Enterprise delivery includes acquisition integrations, platforms tied to $50M+ in recurring revenue, more than 90% AWS cost reduction, 99.97% uptime, and systems supporting $200M+ in contract volume.

Experience

LeadsON, Principal AI Engineer

Independent project, alongside TTAC · Remote · Jan 2025–May 2026

Built and personally engineered agentic AI and automation systems, applying enterprise disciplines across architecture, implementation, testing, observability, resilience, and deployment.

  • Architected a production-oriented platform with 16 specialized agents, 25+ BullMQ queues, and an 18-state deterministic workflow; models handled generation and classification while code retained state, scheduling, approvals, and authoritative actions.
  • Engineered multi-provider LLM routing, RAG / pgvector grounding, structured outputs, circuit breakers, human approval gates, and observability; validated across 1,700+ tests and 196 requirements.
  • Published CaseFlow, a public reference implementation of controlled agentic engineering: a 21-node LangGraph workflow with four bounded AI tasks, three human-review gates, and a 30-case / 11-metric regression suite with provider adapters.

Local Workspace MCP, Published open-source MCP server

Independent release · Oct 2026

  • Designed and shipped a read-oriented MCP server: 23 tools behind operator-declared roots, lexical and canonical-realpath containment, and default-deny access; one named task_run path over an operator-written allowlist, documented as real user-level execution, not a sandbox.
  • Released as local-workspace-mcp@0.2.0 on npm and listed in the official MCP Registry after four rounds of independent adversarial review; published threat model and a 276-test suite in the public repository.

TTAC Publishing, Director of Technology

Remote · Aug 2018–Nov 2025

Led technology strategy and hands-on delivery for a high-volume digital publishing and ecommerce network, translating operational needs into cloud, commerce, and automation systems.

  • Reduced recurring AWS spend by more than 90% (about $15–20K/month to about $1K/month) through modernization, governance, Spot capacity, managed services, and CloudFront redesign.
  • Unified WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, and Laravel APIs through an AWS event-driven pipeline; sustained 99.97% uptime across three properties, including repeated 1M+ viewer launches.
  • Migrated CI/CD from Puppet to GitHub Actions, tripling release cadence; launched three Shopify Hydrogen / Next.js storefronts with subscription analytics.

Hearst Magazines, Senior Web Application / API Developer

Acquisition Technical Integration Lead · Remote · 2007–2018

Senior hands-on architect for Hearst Digital properties, repeatedly selected for work requiring discovery, executive communication, architecture, integration, and implementation.

  • Embedded with acquired-company executives and engineers as hands-on technical integration lead for a $10M+ social-platform acquisition; assessed the production environment, defined the integration path, and implemented integrations.
  • Architected REST APIs supporting subscription, content, and identity systems tied to $50M+ recurring revenue and 1M+ monthly visitors.
  • Modernized Perl/Mason systems to Python/Django and built reusable publishing infrastructure for JSON rendering, OAuth, content and identity integration, and automated testing.

BDP International, Senior Technical Lead, Enterprise Logistics Integration

Philadelphia, PA · 2003–2006

Customer-side technical implementation lead for enterprise deployment of G-Log Transportation Management System.

  • Translated global logistics workflows into production integrations, APIs, and ETL pipelines supporting $200M+ in transportation rate contracts.
  • Stayed involved from discovery and workflow definition through enterprise architecture, integration, and production rollout.

Earlier enterprise experience

  • Tech USA / Accugenix, bioinformatics portal architecture for 3,000+ pharmaceutical clients; enabled a $25M+ new revenue line.
  • Conversion Services / Bristol-Myers Squibb, HR compensation and executive stock-planning systems for 17,000+ executives globally.
  • Advanced Systems Consulting, delivered systems for GE Corporate, GE Information Services, and Equitable Resources.
